Meet the Doctors
Gabriela Vatafu & Lucian Vatafu • D.D.S.
Gabriela Vatafu, DDS and Lucian Vatafu, DDS husband and wife, both earned their DDS degree in 2005 at New York University, College of Dentistry. Driven by strong commitment to quality dentistry, in 2008 they opened a dental practice located in Newington.
After gaining experience in managing a dental office, they wanted to extend their practice choosing Glastonbury as a new location. Enthusiastic about learning new techniques they expand the professional knowledge through continuing education courses. Dr. Gabriela Vatafu enjoys performing the aesthetic procedures, like Veneers, Lumineers, and she is a certified Invisalign provider. Dr. Lucian Vatafu places Implants and he is more pro-surgical procedures.
Whether performing restorative, cosmetic, prosthetic or surgical procedures, their goal is to provide the very best for patients. They live in Wethersfield and they have two children.
Janet, Office Manager
Janet is the office manager for Addison Village Dental. She has an associate’s degree in business management from Middlesex Community College. Janet comes to us with over twenty years of dental experience working as a dental assistant, lab technician assistant, and office manager. Working with insurance companies to get the most payment for services rendered is one of Janet’s highest priorities.
Janet is from Wethersfield, married with two daughters and their dog, Cody. She is very active with in her community and schools.
Valerie, Registered Dental Hygienist
Valerie is our dental hygienist who graduated from Tunxis Community College in 2020 with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. Valerie has a passion for taking care of someone’s teeth and overall health, and what better way to do that is to put a smile on her patients’ faces.
She has known that she has wanted to be a dental hygienist since she was a little girl and she followed her dreams and achieved her goal.
Valerie is a very genuine, kind-hearted and caring girl who loves to hear what every patient has to say about their smile. Valerie wants her patients to feel as comfortable as possible while in the dental chair. She provides a calming, sweet and carismatic demeonar.
Valerie is willing to take on new challenges and learn new things. Valerie is known to be gentle with her hands but precise. Her goal is to have every patient leave with a smile on their face and to leave with learning something new about oral hygiene.
Outside the office, Valerie loves to travel, hang out with friends, family and her two cats. She has a passion for working out and staying fit, but also loves her food. She loves fashion and staying up to date with the latest trends. She loves pop music and simply just relaxing at home.
Anya, Dental Assistant
Anya went to Windham Technical School for Dental Assisting in 2015. She enjoys the challenge of helping ease anxiety and educating our patients about their dental procedures. Her goal is to make patients feel as comfortable as possible and help them get over any fear they might have related to dentistry.
In her free time, Anya loves drawing, spending time with her family and friends, but mostly loves playing with her daughter.
