Meet the Doctors
Gabriela Vatafu & Lucian Vatafu • D.D.S.
Gabriela Vatafu, DDS and Lucian Vatafu, DDS husband and wife, both earned their DDS degree in 2005 at New York University, College of Dentistry. Driven by strong commitment to quality dentistry, in 2008 they opened a dental practice located in Newington.
After gaining experience in managing a dental office, they wanted to extend their practice choosing Glastonbury as a new location. Enthusiastic about learning new techniques they expand the professional knowledge through continuing education courses. Dr. Gabriela Vatafu enjoys performing the aesthetic procedures, like Veneers, Lumineers, and she is a certified Invisalign provider. Dr. Lucian Vatafu places Implants and he is more pro-surgical procedures.
Whether performing restorative, cosmetic, prosthetic or surgical procedures, their goal is to provide the very best for patients. They live in Wethersfield and they have two children.
Janet, Office Manager
Janet is the office manager for Addison Village Dental. She has an associate’s degree in business management from Middlesex Community College. Janet comes to us with over twenty years of dental experience working as a dental assistant, lab technician assistant, and office manager. Working with insurance companies to get the most payment for services rendered is one of Janet’s highest priorities.
Janet is from Wethersfield, married with two daughters and their dog, Cody. She is very active with in her community and schools.
Stacie, Dental Hygienist
Stacie is our hygienist who graduated from Tunxis Community College in 2010 with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. Prior to becoming a dental hygienist she was a dental assistant for thirteen years where her passion for the dental field began. Stacie strives to make our patients feel as comfortable as possible by having a relaxing, caring, and friendly demeanor.
Stacie particularly enjoys the challenge of helping ease anxiety many patients bring to the chair. Her goal for each patient is to make their dental experience educational, pleasant and to leave them smiling until their next visit.
Outside the office Stacie loves spending time with her husband, and two daughters traveling, walking or simply staying home.
Megan, Registered Dental Hygienist
Megan has been practicing dental hygiene for over three years. Having graduated with honors from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene, Megan was awarded the Mabel C. Mccarthy award in Dental Hygiene for her work with special needs children. She also holds degrees in Biology and Theater from the University of Connecticut.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys animals, painting and traveling with her husband John.
Kelsey, Dental Assistant
Kelsey went to A.I Prince Technical School for dental assisting in 2013. She loves seeing patients, old and new, making them as comfortable as possible by keeping them informed about their dental procedures. She works to help them get over any fear they may have related to dentistry.
Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys cooking and spending time with her family, friends and dog. She enjoys snowboarding in the winter and going to the beach as much as possible during the summer.
